Soft Keys display in Dialog

Despite adding multiple softkeys in dialogs using the resource editor, the simulator shows only one softkey. Even when I alter the coordinates of the softkey, the size of the key remains unchanged.
Does anyone know how to display 2 softkeys in a dialog box? And if the sizes are variable?
