cant hear on the phone - after interrupt

very strange issue -
this is happening on the motorola handsets (v710 , e815 etc) - After an incoming call at my app while sounds are playing, (and only if the handset's ringer is in the 'silent' mode), nothing could be heard on either side of the phone call !!!!!
quite weird.
any suggestions ??
