MSLEEP usage in BREW API

AEE function MSLEEP is used to make an application 'sleep' for a pre-determined time.
However, it seems that MSLEEP does not work in BREW Simulator. Is this a normal behavior? Everytime I invoke MSLEEP, the application does not sleep, but continues right after.
If there are specific usages/recommendations for MSLEEP, I would like to know
