Resizing png image

Hi All,
Can anybody tell the way to resize a png image?
What i am doing is?
I loaded a image, then i resized it through IIMAGE_SetParm( ) with IPARM_SCALE, option. It makes it resized but changed the color (change in resolution). I need to use the same image with different size in same app.
