Our released production application will occassionally (it takes several months for us to reproduce the problem) disappear from the phone. So far this has only happened on the Motorola w385. When it disappears all directories related to the application seem to be gone (this includes our own directory as well as two other related directories that are created when our application is installed).

We have tried intentionally corrupting either the mod or sig file as we have heard that such corruption can cause an application to be removed from the phone, but so far we can not cause it to happen. Does anyone have any suggestions about what could cause this kind of behavior? What checks are performed at powerup, and what are the situations that could cause BREW to completely remove an application and all of its dependencies?
