can't enable Gateway mode on device

Hi,

My Brew MP device is 6290 F-US. I was trying to enable the gateway mode on this device by following the instructions in C_visual_stuido_primer.pdf, but failed to enable this mode. The Brew MP SDK was successfully installed on my computer, and the plugins for Visual Studio 2005 were correctly installed as well. The device driver was detected by Windows New Hardware Wizard and then was installed. As the windows device manager can find the device: "PHD HS-USB Modem 9002" under Modem directory and "PHD HS-USB Diagnostics 9002 (COM7)" and "PHD HS-USB NMEA 9002 (COM8)" under Ports directory, We thought the driver works fine and therefore didn't manually set the driver path to C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\Brew MP SDK\Toolset 1.0 Rev 7.2.1168561\drivers\usbdevice\Win32\WinXP\free as suggested on the primer. Then we enter the sequence "###BREWDEBUG#" on the device, it shows "Debug Keys On" on the screen. Then we cleared the screen and entered the sequence "###17382977#" as suggested on the primer. It's supposed to appear a menu on the screen as metioned on the primer, but no menu appeared. We tried many times but still can't see any menus appeared. There was sometimes a bright small window flashing in a very short moment then disappearing immediately. I have no idea about this flashing window. The Brew MP Loader and Logger cannot connect to the device, and the visual studio plugins can't find the device when choosing "physical".
Do you have any suggestions for this problem?

Thanks!
Best,
David
