Upgrade price method example

Upgrades are set automatically to a price basis of Not Applicable, because an item upgrade does not affect the item usage currently on the device.

A developer can offer the upgrade at a one-time cost or free of charge. A patch release of an item is considered to be a free upgrade. A new version of an item that provides enhanced functionality may be a case for considering a priced upgrade (i.e., a non-zero DAP). The Upgrade price method has only one price point.

An example of the Upgrade price method follows where the price basis is Not Applicable.

Attributes Price point 1
Value (set to zero because upgrades do not offset usage attributes on the device) N/A (system-generated)
DAP $1.50
