IVFSCACHEMODEL_ChildName()

deprecated
Items marked as deprecated have been replaced by a more powerful, alternative feature. Deprecated interfaces include a reference to the replacement interface, which should be used for all new application development. Deprecated features are still supported for backward compatibility, but should be avoided when developing new applications.
Brew Release
Brew MP 1.0.2
Description
Returns the name of a specified child node given its index. This is a separate function so that it is not neccessary to create the complete child node merely to check the name. This is equivalent to the idea of opendir()/readdir() unix calls, which return names without accessing the node details.
Parameters
  • po
    []:
Pointer to the IVfsCacheModel interface object
  • container
    []:
Pointer to the associated cache container
  • index
    []:
The index of the required child, in the range 0 to ChildCount()-1
Interface
IVFSCACHEMODEL
Prototype
   VfsPathElement IVFSCACHEMODEL_ChildName(IVfsCacheModel * po,IVfsCacheContainer * container,int index)
Return
The name of the specified child.
Comment
This function MUST be present in all cache models
In some circumstances, implementing this call may be impossible (for instance, providing a list of extensions). If this is the case, a dummy function which returns NULL should be provided.
