Private (non-priced) extensions

Developers can develop private extensions to facilitate the rapid development of their own applications.

A private extension is a proprietary module used only by the developer who authored it. Qualcomm recommends assigning unique class IDs to each extension version.

An application that incorporates the extension must be tested before it can be distributed; however, testing of the extension itself is not required.

By default, extensions have implicit platform support; that is, they inherit the device platform support of the associated using application when it passes testing.
