ClassIDs and commercialization

When you are ready to test your application on a physical device, you will need to obtain a unique ClassID for the application.

Device ClassIDs

Locally-generated, temporary ClassIDs can used to run applications on the Brew MP Simulator. However, should different applications or classes have the same ClassIDs on the device, errors will occur.

To obtain a Brew MP ClassID, go to the Brew MP website and use the web-based Access to the Brew MP ClassID Generator requires login.

To obtain your BID file

  1. Go to the Brew MP ClassID Generator web page.
  2. Enter the name of your application or class and click Submit.
  3. Select Download YourApplicationName.BID.
  4. Save the BID file in the same location as the submitted class or application.
  5. If you have been using a BID file containing a "locally generated" or temporary ClassID, a dialog box will appear asking if you would like to replace the existing BID file. Click Yes. The new BID file will replace the old BID file.
