Visual Studio C/C++ Application and C Extension Development

Base version:

Brew MP 1.0.2

This section is written for use with the Brew MP SDK.

The purpose of this primer is to provide you with instructions for creating your first Brew MP application and extension in Visual Studio.

The following steps are covered in this primer for a Brew MP application, extension, and BREW 3.x/4.x application.

  1. Use the Brew MP Wizard, an IDE plugin, to create the Brew MP application project. The workspace file contains a C/C++ source file, the Component Information File (CIF) and resource files.
  2. Build the application Dynamic Link Library (DLL) and run it in the Simulator.
  3. Build the application MOD and run it on a device.
  4. Debug the application on the Simulator and a device.

For troubleshooting information, see the Troubleshooting section in the Visual Studio Plugin Help or in the Tools Reference.
