Creating a new Brew MP project

The Application wizard generates a Brew MP application framework.

The application framework includes a Brew MP ClassID (BID) file containing a locally-generated ClassID, Component Information File (CIF), Component Application Resource File (CAR), an application makefile, and some of the required Brew MP header files.

Generate Brew MP C Application project framework

Note: The locally-generated ClassID is for development use only. Applications ready for market require a unique ClassID, which can be obtained from the http://developer.brewmp.com/tools/class-id-generator on the Brew MP website. It is recommended to obtain a unique ClassID for your application prior to running it on device.

The Application wizard creates the new project in the current workspace.

  1. Select File > New > Project...

The New Project dialog is shown.

  2. Open the Brew MP node, and select C Application.

    The Next button is enabled.

  3. Click Next.

The Brew MP C Application dialog is shown.

  4. A default project name is provided. Edit the project name if desired. Click Next if you would like to edit the Brew MP Platform version, or executable file format (MOD/DLL or MOD1/DLL1). Otherwise click Finish to create an application with the default options.

The wizard creates and builds the project, and the IDE is changed to a C/C++ perspective.
