Resource ID ranges

A Resource ID is a unique identifier assigned to each resource. Brew MP supports three different resource types: strings, objects, and binaries. IDs within each resource type must be unique (for example, you cannot have two string resources with an ID of 150). Different resource types may have the same ID (for example, you can have a string resource with an ID of 150 and an object resource with an ID of 150). However, the following pre-established ranges of Resource IDs are recommended to differentiate between resource types. Brew MP automatically assigns numbers from these ranges when new resources are created, but the numbers can be edited. The valid ID range for any resource type is 1 to 65535.

Resource type Range
Strings 1001 to 5000
Objects 5001 to 6000
Binaries 6001 to 7000
