Running your application

The Brew MP Visual Studio Plugin includes the option of generating debug and release application DLL/DLL1 for the Brew MP Simulator, as well as application makefile and MOD/MOD1 files to run on device.

This section covers running your application on a simulation target and device.

Setting run properties

You can designate run options within Visual Studio by doing the following:

  1. Select Project > Brew MP Properties, or click the Brew MP Properties icon in the Plugin toolbar to open the Brew MP Properties dialog.
  2. Within the Brew MP Properties dialog, select the Run tab.

  3. In the Run properties window you can set applet startup properties and Simulator debug behavior.
  4. Selecting Attach debugger on startup copies application modules to the Simulation target before the target starts. This feature is intended for platform level debugging, general application development may not require use of this feature.
  5. Stress Conditions are a set of stress testing utilities to put the CPU, file system, and heap under certain stress conditions and test them. Monkey Test is used to test the stability of a device and applications which are installed on it. For more information on these test applications, refer to the How-Tos located in /Utilities//doc. Be sure to install the Sample Code in the SDK Manager to access these How-Tos.
