StartShaker() fails

I loaded the Shaker app on a Verizon LG_VX6000. I tried with both the apploader and the LoadShaker.pl script. Device reported that Shaker was installed successfully. However, when a script calls GrinderPl::StartShaker(), an error is returned ( 0 ). Any ideas?
