check for performance when u load images of different format

hi,
I am a beginner.i have loaded BMP image and also png and also BCI image(single frame)from resource fileand i displayed using IMAGE_DRAW() command.but i could not check which one will be the best to use.i need to calculate the time each had consumed in loading the image.
help me how to check the performance of each one.
