Key lag on VX9800

Hi we're developping for the LG VX9800 and we've notice some key lag when in the application(of around 250 ms), and we would like to know if anyone expereince a similar behavior on this handset (note that we are using a build made with the 2.1 SDK not the 3.1, can it be related?)
