IMENUCTL image item

I have a common menu with items, each item has an image and no text. I want the image cover the full button of the item, because by the button is always 2 pixels bigger. I tried using IMENUCTL_SetStyle but when I set it the menu doesn't display. I'm working on simulator Brew 3.1.2...
Is there another way of doing this??
