How to make good use of those cool features already existed by OEM, such as input box and soft keypad, it seems not possible just by using standard interface ITEXTCTL.

Current some of the brew handsets are very cool, for its input box and soft keypad which are all very attractive, as a 3rd party application developer, how to make good use of those cool features already existed by OEM, it seems not possible only by invoking standard brew interface ITEXTCTL. I have written a program and try to verify, but the result is that it is very dull, compared with ones in OEM app. In order to achieve the goal, should we use OME extension or any other methods, please give me some advice. Thanks.
