Distinguishing whether class is supported on simulator or not. AEE_ECLASSNOTSUPPORT.

Forums:

Hi,

I am using BrewMP 1.04 and working with simulator (currently I do not have any device).

Whenever I try to create an instance of IVocoder using,

ret = ISHELL_CreateInstance(pMe->piShell, AEECLSID_VOCODER, pMe->pIvocoder);

I get ret value as 0x03 which is AEE_ECLASSNOTSUPPORT. I need to know whether this class i.e AEECLSID_VOCODER is supported on simulator? or am I missing something?

Likewise, when I create an instance of IMedia interface using AEECLSID_MEDIA or AEECLSID_MEDIAAMR,ISHELL_CreateInstance() returns AEE_ECLASSNOTSUPPORT but using AEECLSID_MEDIAMP3 it returns AEE_SUCCESS.

So, Is this the problem of simulator not supporting these classes? Also, is there any easy way of finding the list of unsupported classes for simulator?
