BREW MP PLATFORM PRO-V 1.0.3.369

Released:14 May 10

This kit is an add-on to the Brew® MP SDK. All "Platform" kits provide the ability to build applications for Brew MP targets (physical and simulation).

Platform "Pro" kits contain the test files that used to reside in PVS. Also, Pro kits contain pre-release headers that expose features that are still under development, considered experimental, and are guaranteed to work "as-is" on this release only.

Platform "Pro-V" kits contain the test files used to test VZW operator specific requirements.

The inclusion of PVS-V test modules, PVS test modules and Pro headers allow all Brew MP engineering tasks to be performed with the SDK and Platform Pro-V kit. Note: Platform and Platform Pro kits are not needed when using Platform Pro-V.

This kit includes the following Brew MP Platform 1.0.3.369 components:

  • Headers, Libraries and API reference
  • Pro Headers
  • Simulation DLLs
  • PVS test modules
  • PVS- V test modules

BREW PEK 3.1.5

Released:30 Jan 09

BREW® PEK 3.1.5 SP07(3.1.5.190)

The BREW Porting Evaluation Kit is a suite of tools and tests that helps to validate the BREW port to a device. Running and passing these tests is an important quality step in validating BREW functionality. The PEK is also made available to BREW carriers and may be used for device acceptance.

Service Pack 07: OEMs and Carriers that are developing and testing devices based on BREW PK 4.0.3, BREW PK 3.1.5, or earlier 3.1.x versions should use the BREW PEK 3.1.5 SP07. The PEK 3.1.5 SP07 provides the capability to verify the feature enable/disable status on the BREW-Directed Handler message, Hysteresis Activation Timer, and RUIM functionality. In addition to that, BREW PEK 3.1.5 SP07 also includes the updates made to the OATAddrbook module. The PEK 3.1.5 SP07 installs all new and existing features in a single installation. MAXFILECNT 2.2

Released:19 May 10

In order to pass TRUE BREW® Testing, BREW applications are required to work under induced scenarios of adverse Embedded File System (EFS) conditions (refer to test case 5.2.2 "Maximum File Count" in the TRUE BREW Test Guide). MaxFileCnt2 is a BREW application to assist developers in preparing their device for these adverse EFS conditions.

Features include:

  • Variable file size
  • Maximum file limits
  • User-defined fill percentages

MaxFileCnt2 has been updated to account for EFS2. The previous version, MaxFileCount 1.2.0, was only used for development on EFS devices, not EFS2 devices. Latest version of MaxFileCnt2 (version 2.2.1.0) has added touch screen support to accommodate testing on touch screen devices. More information can be found in the Release Notes.

BREW DEVICE CONFIGURATOR 3.1

Released:19 May 10

BREW Device Configurator 3.1

The BREW Device Configurator is a tool that allows the OEM to define the characteristics of the BREW device being developed. These characteristics are specified within a package of files called a Device Pack. The Device Pack is used by the PEK for verifying the BREW port on the device. It is also used by BREW application developers in the BREW Simulator (part of the SDK). The later Device Configurator releases have features of interest to carriers as well - features that support the end-to-end process for BREW devices, from device specification through commercialization.
